Thyme is a restored historic Cotswold manor & farm. It is a family story where a passion for the land, food & entertaining merges with a love of local heritage, beauty & conservation. Conserving the beauty of the land through generations of love, for generations to come.

the brief.

Today, Thyme comprises 31 bedrooms dispersed across its houses and cottages, the Ox Barn restaurant, the Baa Bar, the Swan pub, Cookery School, Meadow Spa and the Tithe Barn event and exhibition space. Our challenge was to create a brand that successfully unified all of the different areas both verbally and visually, ensuring the ethos never falters with the story of the land imbued in every detail.

our approach.

Nature is the golden thread that connects us all. We place this connectivity at the forefront of the design for Thyme. Fluid letterforms are bound to one another in the logotype, whilst the Thyme sprig is embedded into the responsive T logomark. We hero organic textures, natural colours and developed an editorially-inspired aesthetic for the wider brand world, being bold with typography, quirky with image placement and all the while intertwining visual elements that nod back to an affinity between Thyme and nature. We continue to weave Thyme’s passionate brand story through beautifully captured photography and delicate botanical illustrations. The brand’s narrative is founded on the theme of time. The brand’s narrative is founded on the theme of time. A significant merit of time is the opportunity it gives us to observe, reflect and consider; time inspires the art of thoughtfulness.
